Troubleshooting Guide

If you experience problems with the boot dryer not working or have any safety concerns related to smoke, smell or temperature, please read our troubleshooting guide.

If you continue to experience a problem, please contact us. Do not attempt to disassemble or fix the unit yourself. Doing so may void your warranty and cause damage to the boot dryer.

Assembly / Operation

1. Place the dryer on a firm, flat, and dry surface, avoiding carpets and liquids. Align the attachment points and slide up to attach the front to the rear base, locking it in place.

2. Secure the top tubes to the dryer base tubes by aligning the grooves and twisting the top tube. This prevents the top tubes from falling off when removing boots. (older models do not have the twist-locking feature)

3. Attach the brackets to the top of the air tubes by twisting and locking into place using the same method as step 2. (older models do not have the twist-locking feature)

4. Plug the unit cord into a 120V outlet. Note that the plug is polarized and should fit into a polarized outlet in only one way. If the plug does not fit fully, try reversing it. If the unit still doesn’t work, and other electronics function in the same outlet, please contact us.

5. Switch on the power by pressing the power switch. Before the first use, wait for 15 minutes to ensure warm air is rising by placing your hand over the tube.

6. Place your boots, shoes, or other clothing articles onto the brackets. Maintain at least eight inches of clearance along the tubes, from the top of the boot to the base of the unit, for efficient drying.

7. For storage, remove the boot attachments and separate the front and rear base plates. Store the dryer in a cool, dry area.

8. Monitor your drying articles often and carefully to avoid damage due to over-drying.

9. Turn the dryer switch off before unplugging.

Safe Use

When using electrical items, basic safety precautions should always be followed:

1. Do not take apart or attempt to modify the plug or unit in any way.
2. Plug into 110V-120V AC household outlet only. Plugging the unit into a higher voltage outlet will damage the unit and could cause a fire.
3. To avoid electric shock, never immerse the unit, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
4. Do not allow the inside of the dryer to become wet during operation or in storage. Always store and use the unit in a dry area free from potential moisture.
5. Place unit on a solid, hard, flat surface when using.
6. Do not use on carpet or any materials that retain heat.
7. Never use near any flammable materials.
8. Keep unit away from other heat sources, including direct sunlight and heat vents.
9. Keep air intake vents unblocked for proper circulation.
10. Use in a well-ventilated area.
11. Keep a minimum of 8 inches (20 cm) clearance from top of boot to base of unit.
12. Never use a unit if it appears to be damaged in any way.
13. Never use unit for drying items having any chemical residue or ingredients.
14. Never use unit outdoors.
15. Never use the unit near children or pets. Always have adult supervision.
16. Drying tubes may become hot when in use. Do not touch the drying tubes until 30 minutes after the unit is powered off.
17. Let unit cool before storing.
18. Unplug when not in use.
19. Never touch the unit with wet hands.
20. Connect into a secure wall socket only.
21. Make sure the power cord is not positioned in a place where it could be tripped over or otherwise damaged or stressed.
22. Do not use on same electrical circuit as other appliances or an overload may occur.
23. Clean only as instructed in the CLEANING section of this manual.
24. Do not overload the tubes with too much weight or in an unbalanced way that may cause the unit to tip over.
25. Do not use any attachments that are not sold with this unit.

Cleaning Instructions

1. Unplug unit and move it far away from any electrical outlets.
2. Mix a couple drops of mild dish soap or detergent with five ounces of water and apply sparingly with a moist sponge to wipe the outer case surfaces.
3. Do not allow any water to drip into the unit.
4. Allow unit to dry for at least 24 hours before resuming use.
